Many social scientists recruit participants from online participant pools that aggregates multiple market research platforms. In this post, I will introduce two most commonly used crowdsourcing platforms MTurk and CloudResearch and share useful links:
Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) https://requester.mturk.com/
CloudResearch (formerly TurkPrime) https://www.cloudresearch.com/
Both MTurk and CloudResearch are crowdsourcing platforms targeting representative samples. Researchers post an introduction of task to recruit respondents.Workers who are willing to do the task can be directed to an online survey.
